A lot of writers out there are smiling and thanking their lucky stars for the wonder of technology and its ability to come up with something as lucrative as an ezine. Ezine publishing has allowed many a writer to have his work out on the market, on a reputable portfolio, to be read by all. Here are five immediate ways that can guide you through your business of ezine publishing:

1. Before you even design or publish your ezine, you must first go through the conceptualization stage. Think of your target audience and what they want to see in a great magazine. From there, you can work on creating the theme of your publication.

2. Graphics are part and parcel of the success of a great ezine. You should devote much of your time to the visual aspect of your ezine, because sometimes this area can make or break it. You can hire a graphic design artist to do the job for you and ensure that it looks very professional.

3. Of course, the other half of your attention should be focused on the content of your ezine. Namely, your written work. Make sure that your articles (both those written by yourself and those written by your pool of writers, should you have one) are not only interesting, but easy to read as well. They should not be too short or horrendously lengthy.

4. Add interesting promos to your ezine so it is also interactive. Your readers will enjoy participating in promos and it can serve as a barometer for the number of subscribers who actually read your magazine.

5. And finally, create an effective marketing plan for your ezine. Make sure that it lands right in the laps of your audience or, failing that, find ways for it to be advertised on different places in the Internet.
